With the patented OPTIFIL® design, GROB offers world-wide the most thread compatible heald.

Through the special design of the OPTIFIL® thread eye that is patented in many countries, friction is reduced to an absolute minimum. The warp yarn passes through the OPTIFIL® thread eye in a straight line with minimal friction in any shed position. The gentle shed change takes care of the surface of the neighbouring healds.

The optimal design permits a density increase  of up to 30 %  per heald frame and centimetre. Depending on the pattern, the number of heald frames can be reduced, providing potential for increases in maximum machine operating speeds.
